We met at the Park & Ride in Richmond at 8:00 a.m. Everyone made introductions and then we piled into two cars and traveled to Camels Hump Burrows Trailhead. At the trailhead we discussed preparations, equipment and started off on the hike. It was a chilly, with a light snow. The trail and trees were beautiful as they had a light covering of snow. The snow was not deep enough to require snowshoes, which made the trial perfect for microspikes. We started the hike just before 9 a.m. It was snowing very lightly. Everyone in the group had some experience and were all good hikers. We thus made it to the top of the mountain in about 2 hours or at 10:50 a.m. We did not stop at the top since it was very cold and windy. It was also cloudy, so we did not have a view. We thus began our hike down the mountain. We stopped briefly on the way down after we were out of the wind to delayer and have a quick snack. It was too cold to really want to stop and eat, so everyone was happy with just continuing the remainder of the trip. We got to the bottom of the mountain about 12:05. So the overall time for the hike was just over 3 hours. We then drove back to Richmond Park & Ride. Chris Fredericks, JT, Lindsey Stanley, Neil Washington, Giuliana Nuovo, Tom Nuovo (leader).
