Outings for January 2017

1/28 (Sat) Stowe Pinnacle
For beginners or those wishing to do something on the smaller side. Great views of Stowe Village! Easy to moderate snowshoe. Strong pace. 3 miles. Robynn Albert, robynnalbert@hotmail.com. Note: You must bring snowshoes AND foot grippers of some variety such as Microspikes, Hill Sounds, the like. Yak Trax are ok but not ideal for the elevation.

1/29 (Sun) Duxbury Window
Lets recover from the Burlington Section Annual Meeting by taking a hike up to the Duxbury Window. This Long Trail hike starts at the LT trail head on Duxbury Road near the Winooski River at the lowest point on the LT. The trail follows Bamforth Ridge, one of the flanks of Camel’s Hump. Your Section President guarantees winter-like weather and great views (or, no views if thats the case) or your money back. Easy to moderate snowshoe. 3.2 miles. 950′ elevation gain.
