Let’s climb something different, shall we? Northeast Kingdom here we come! We will either hike Burke or Jay, then have some eats post hike to break up the ride home. Moderate snowshoe. 1/13 (Sat) Butler Lodge via Nebraska Notch (moved from 1/20)

1/13 (Sat) Shelburne Farms XC Ski
We will meet at Shelburne Farms in Shelburne at a not-yet-designated time and take off on an cross country skiing or walking outing, with length and route to be determined by the snowpack, the weather and participants. Moderate pace, flat route and overall an easy outing with great views of the Adirondacks if conditions permit. Can be windy as much of the route is exposed so be prepared! Count on a 14-15 hour day from A to B with eats and libations planned post-hike with a fireplace to boot! Experienced fast-paced hikers only, please. 1/28 (Sun) Bolton Lodge Potluck
(changed from Duxbury Window hike)
The GMC Burlington Section is hosting a potluck on the Sunday at Bolton Lodge. All are welcome. You do NOT need to be a GMC member to attend. The more the merrier. No RSVP need. Meet at about 12:30 at the restored Bolton Lodge for an informal potluck. No need to RSVP. Please bring a snack or dish to share, and a cup or mug and spoon. If you bring something hot, it has to be in a pot you can put on the wood stove.
Access Bolton Lodge by following the Broadway Trail from Bolton’s Nordic and Sports Center (a 1.5 mile downhill hike or ski) or via the Catamount Trail from where it heads north from the Bolton Valley Access Road (about 2/3 of a mile uphill hike or ski). The Lodge is on this Bolton Valley Nordic map lower-left hand corner.
Parking at the Bolton Nordic Center? Afternoon tickets go on sale at 12:00.
