9/4 (Sun) Cantilever Rock
From the Underhill State Park we’ll head up the Sunset Ridge Trail and take the spur to Cantilever Rock. Easy hike. Leisurely pace. 4 miles. 1200′ elevation gain. Group limit 10. Contact leader by 9/2. David Hathaway, david.hathaway.78@gmail.com or 802-899-9982.

9/8 – Bryant Camp Wood Stack
The GMC needs help putting in wood for winter visitors at Bryant Camp. Bring work gloves, lunch, and water. We will meet at 8:30 at the Richmond park & ride at I-89 exit 11, or at 9 AM at the Bolton Nordic Ski center parking lot (https://goo.gl/maps/YASoU4vPPEVEzFZN7).

9/10 – Long Trail Day hike to Butler Lodge
Starting from the Stevensville trailhead in Underhill at 10 AM, we’ll hike up to Butler Lodge, and return. Moderate hike, moderate pace, 4.2 miles, 1600′ elevation gain. Group limit 10. Contact David Hathaway, david.hathaway.78@gmail.com or 802-899-9982 to sign up.

9/10 (Sat) Franconia Ridge Loop
We will start from the Old Bridle Path Trailhead to hike up Falling Waters to Little Haystack, then across the Appalachian Trail ridge to Lincoln (5089 ft) and Lafayette (5260 ft) peaks before descending Old Bridle Path. This is one of the most scenic hikes in New England which means it will be busy. An early start will ensure a better experience, so we will plan for a 6:15 start in NH (4:00 AM meet at Richmond Park and Ride). Difficult hike. Moderate pace. 8.9 miles. 4100 ft elevation gain. 9/17 (Sat) Mt. Garfield, NH
We will hike Mt Garfield via the Mt. Garfield Trail in Bethlehem, NH. On a clear day there are excellent views into the Pemigewasset Wilderness. Moderate hike by White Mountain standards, but long distance. Only the last quarter mile is difficult. $5.00 parking fee to USFS at lot. 7 AM start at trailhead (So early departure!). 9/24 (Sat) Belvidere
From Eden crossing on Rt 118 we’ll follow the Long Trail north to the summit of Belvidere Mt., whose fire tower offers views south to Mt Mansfield and north to Jay Peak. Moderate hike. Hike to the Chin of Mt Mansfield from Smugglers Notch passing Taft Lodge. Some exposed sections near the summit. Descend via Profanity trail and passing by Taft Lodge. Difficult hike.
