Outings for June, 2021

Outings are back! We hope to see you on the trails again soon. See the GMC events page for COVID guidelines currently in effect. If you’re a trip leader (or would like to be one) and want to schedule a trip, contact David Hathaway.

6/19/2021 – Mt. Lincoln
From Lincoln Gap, we’ll hike over Mt. Abraham and on to Mt. Lincoln. Moderate hike at a moderate pace. 6.8 miles, 1800′ elevation gain. Jonathan Breen, ghostman2651@gmail.com, 802-318-8104.

6/19/2021 – LaPlatte River Paddle
From Shelburne bay we will paddle up the LaPlatte River as far as we can make it then turn around and complete our short morning outing with a paddle around Shelburne Bay. Count on two hours maximum. Easy paddle, and those looking for birds may find this a good outing. Contact Ted at ted@ted-albers.net for meetup location and time (hint: its not early in the morning).

6/26/2021 – Mt Hunger & White Rock
We’ll hike up Mt. Hunger from the Middlesex (east) side of the mountain. This trail goes up pretty steadily with a few scrambles near the top. From the top of Mt. Hunger, we will go down the west side of the mountain a short distance and then take the trail over to White Rocks. From White Rocks, we will loop back to the trail we started on and return to the trailhead. Estimated hiking time is 5 hours, including lunch. Moderate hike. Moderate to strong pace. 6 miles. 2500′ elevation gain. David Hathaway, david.hathaway.78@gmail.com, 802-899-9982.
