7/2 (Sat) Camels Hump via Bamforth Ridge
Moved from Saturday due to rain forecast.
We’ll spot a car at the Monroe trailhead at the Couching Lion Farm site in Duxbury, then start from the trailhead by the Winooski River and follow the Long Trail to the summit of Camels Hump. We’ll then follow Monroe Trail back to the spotted care. Or if we’re all feeling energetic, we might talk the Long Trail south to the Dean Trail, and follow it and Monroe rail back to the car. 7/9 (Sat) Devil’s Gulch & Spruce Camp

7/16 (Sat) Algonquin & Wright, ADKs
We will meet at Adirondack Loj and connect up to the Algonquin Trail for an out and back. Parking at the Loj is $7 for ADK members, $15 for non members. Algonquin is the second tallest mountain in NY State and affords exceptional views on a clear day, particularly to Mt. Colden. Difficult hike. 10 miles. 3800′ elevation gain. 7/23 (Sat) Duck Brook Trail
By spotting a car or two, we will hike down the old long trail starting on Bolton Notch Road, past Duck Brook Shelter (3.3 miles) to Stage Road (1.2 miles.) We will stop at the falls on Duck Brook which is pretty even if conditions are somewhat dry. Note this is a downhill walk that is steep in a few sections which can be a challenge. Moderate hike. 7/30 (Sat) Gothics & Pyramid, ADKs
We will park at the Au Sable Club and hike Lake Road to the AW Weld Trail to ascent Pyramid and Gothics before descending via the Beaver Meadow Trail. Gothics affords one of the best views in the Adirondacks on a clear day due to its central location in the Great Range. I will need to talk to all planned hikers a few weeks before trip to plan for scheduling parking via mandatory reservation system (there is no associated cost, but reservations fill up quickly and can be booked 2 weeks out).
