A hearty gaggle of paddlers enjoyed the high waters (for August) in Lewis Creek, Lake Champlain and Little Otter Creek. We put in at the Lewis Creek fishing access in North Ferrisburgh (off of Greenbush and Long Point Road) and the water was like glass – not a breeze to be felt. This location is great for wildlife (eagle, gigantic turtle, frogs galore etc.) Several batches of invasive European frog-bit (which resemble miniature water lilies) were seen – see photo. With Dave, John, Lynda, Laura and Ted Albers, trip leader.
