LT Mile 48.9 — Division 3 — Elev. 2550 ft.

The Pond is one of great beauty, full of trout; and with three camps at the inlet or south end, one of which is open for all comers, and provided with beds and bedding, stove, and utensils. Be very careful of fire, and to leave it neat and clean. It is not a GMC camp. There are boats on Bourne Pond but none on Stratton. [GB 4th Edition 1922]

Mentioned as a private camp and apparently not for hiker use in GB 9th Edition 1932.
