Mile 13.0 — Division 7 — Elev. 3020 ft.
This frame shelter, with space for 8, was built by the US Forest Service in 1963. Water, not always reliable, is from a small brook 200 ft. north via the LT. It has been used from 1963 to present. [GB 24th Edition 1996]
I used this shelter only days after it was open for public use. We had bypassed the shelter at Lake Pleiad after a long day because of no water and a high concentration of bugs. It was our first year of hiking on the LT. A shelter without graffiti! It sure was spiffy. [Paul Woodward]
