Bear Den and Dial Mountains (Adirondacks)

This is a difficult out and back hike starting from the Roaring Brook parking lot. We will walk along the Ausable Club and Lake Roads before taking the H.G. Leach trail to Bear Den Mountain. We will continue along the trail until we reach the summit of Dial Mountain. Micro spikes, headlamp/flashlight, and snowshoes are required. Please, experienced hikers only. Please carpool for this hike. There will be an initial 5:30 AM meetup in the South Burlington Starbucks parking lot to encourage carpooling. Meet at the Trailhead at ~7:00 AM.
Difficult Hike/snowshoe, Moderate to strong pace. 11 miles. 3600′ elevation gain.
