Near Stratton Mountain, about 5 miles from Grout Job, another abandoned lumber camp, Hawks’ Camp was located on a branch of the Deerfield River. It was S. B. Hawks’ permanent camp, fully equipped. Hikers could pick up the key from Griswold’s Store in Bennington, Vermont.
