GMC Burlington Section Annual Meeting was held at the Faith United Methodist Church in South Burlington on Saturday Evening, January 18th.
Despite the snow there was a good turnout, with great company, reports from our committee chairs, and election of our 2020 section officers. We wrapped up with a fantastic talk by Tyler Socash, Outdoor Skills Coordinator for the Adirondack Club, who told us about his 7000 mile journey of the Pacific Crest Trail, the Te Araroa Trail that covers the entire north to south length of New Zealand, and the Appalachian Trail, and told of his ongoing efforts to preserve and foster wider appreciation of and access to wilderness and wild places. Here is a TEDx talk of his to give you a little idea of what you missed if you weren’t there, and hopefully to convince you to join us next year. A few photos from the evening appear below, thanks to Annette Seidenglanz.
