The Burlington Section is looking for a volunteer membership co-chair to help with managing and growing our local section membership. The co-chair will work with the current membership chair to welcome new members and help come up with new member recruitment and retention ideas. Please note that the responsibility for GMC membership bookkeeping (such as collecting dues, sending renewal notices and the like) are managed by the staff at the GMC. This allows the section volunteer to focus on supporting and growing local membership. The membership co-chairs are an important part of the Burlington Section Executive Committee and attend the section’s quarterly business meeting, and annual meeting in January, where they report on the status of the section membership. The membership co-chair may also want to join GMC’s membership committee to learn about and contribute to the wider GMC membership development effort.
