Bromley Tenting Area

The Bromley Tenting Area was established in 1985 on the former site of Bromley Camp, which had been removed in 1984.

The site was located too near the road and directly on the banks of Bromley Brook. By the mid-1990s, the Green Mountain Club recognized the tenting area’s limitations and began planning improvements.

The LT Patrol and Manchester GMC section crews dismantled the old Bromley Tenting Area to allow re-vegetation in the area. The tenting area was thus superseded by the new Bromley Shelter and its associated tent platforms, which opened in 2003.
