Lake Pleiad Lodge was built in 1919 by the Lake Pleiad Section of the GMC with bunks for 12. The lodge was an open camp with double-deck bunks, a stove, and simple cooking utensils, with permanent water located to the south.
The lodge was destroyed by fire in November 1922, when someone spending the night there rushed the stove to such an extent that it became overheated and started the fire.
The lodge was rebuilt by the Middlebury section following the fire. The Lake Pleiad section of the Club (Middlebury) rebuilt the Lake Pleiad Lodge, destroyed by fire late the previous year, so that it was better than before, completing the work by 1923. In the 1928 guide, the lodge was described as having bunks for twelve persons, a stove and simple cooking utensils, with water 500 feet to the south.
