An unofficial shelter on private land, this small shelter is open to hikers a short distance from the Long Trail south of Killington. It is sometimes called the "Secret Shelter" because it does not appear on the official maps.
Hiker’s could find it by following a sign inviting them stay that led down a short side trail.
Built by "some guy named Aaron", this shelter is constructed from natural logs fastened by mortise and tenon joints with wooden pegs. It still stands today, but the inviting sign is gone.
