The Ranch Valley is already familiar to the GMC’s Burlington Section. For several years beginning in 1964 it leased one of the buildings of the old Ranch Camp, which originally was a lumber camp and later a center of ski activity in the l 930’s and l 940’s. The Section used the building for various outings, especially in winter, until the problems of maintaining it along with other responsibilities of the Section made it seem wise to abandon the lease.
