Despite the dire weather forecasts, there were four of us on the Little River snowshoe outing today. Besides myself, the others were Mary Hennessy of Burlington (says she is a member), Andrea Chong of Burlington (says she is a member), and Andrew Gallagher of Burlington (says he is not a member).

The access road was plowed, and the gate at the dam open, so that we were

able to drive to the ranger station. Apparently a new accommodation by the state this year. We started hiking at 10:00 a.m. and got back to the car at 3:01 p.m., a minute later than I promised. There was no snow or rain

falling on us, but the trails were well covered with wet snow, bw temperature being about 34 degrees F.
