Hoping for a sneak preview of Sandy, we headed up the Battell trail to Mt. Abe and enjoyed warmer than expected but windy weather. The moisture was being driven up the south-eastern flank of the mountain and condensing before our eyes to make a local fog and cloud covering – but this immediately dissipated as it was carried over the summit. So, we enjoyed somewhat clear views to the north-west.
