After many rainy days, the forecast for our hike day was good – sunny with a high temperature in the 70s. We did have great weather, but we also had high water in the streams. Rather than try to cross the stream at the very beginning, the trip leader suggested an alternative route to avoid getting wet feet. The alternative route would have been good if we had found the right trail, but we missed an early turn and ended up walking up a logging road, turning around and then bush-whacking back to trail! Oh well, it was a nice day and we were able to hike an extra 40 minutes.

The views at the top were lovely. And, we found some nice patches of blueberries. Everyone enjoyed the hike as well as the stop for ice cream on the way home.
